Jigeesha Ghosh, M.A.

Hi, I am Jigeesha (she/her/hers), and I am a fifth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Miami University. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and completed a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at American University in 2022. I also earned a master’s degree from Miami University in 2024 and am currently pursuing my PhD. My educational and clinical training experiences have deepened my understanding of the many factors that influence mental health and well-being and strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, affirming, and empowering care.

I have worked with clients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, in a variety of settings, including schools, university clinics, outpatient services, and inpatient settings. I have provided both individual and group therapy, as well as neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic assessments. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong interest in supporting individuals with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.

My assessment experience includes working with adults across the lifespan on concerns related to ADHD, autism, cognitive changes, and diagnostic clarification, as well as developing cognitive profiles for individuals experiencing challenges related to medical conditions, neurological changes, neurocognitive decline, and brain injury. I also have experience supporting clients with a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

My therapeutic approach is informed by cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, systemic, and interpersonal perspectives. I strive to use evidence-based interventions while taking a strengths-based and individualized approach to care. I recognize the impact that systems, identity, and lived experiences can have on mental health. I value creating a collaborative space where clients feel seen, understood, and respected in their identities and experiences. I am also passionate about group-based interventions and have experience facilitating skills-focused groups for ADHD and autism, parent management training, and emotion regulation interventions. I believe therapy can be a space for growth, self-understanding, and developing practical tools that help clients move toward meaningful and fulfilling lives.
