Hi! I'm Daniel (he/him), a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a strong passion for transgender/queer, disabled, and neurodivergent care. My lived experience with each of these groups informs my practice, and my struggles in finding affirming providers strengthened my resolve to be welcoming and affirming.
As a "high-making", late-diagnosed individual, I understand how masking can be a survival mechanism, and am well-trained to "see through" the mask. I was drawn to this field with the goal of reducing barriers to psychiatric health care, especially for those at the intersection of neurodivergence, disability, and LGBT+ identities.
As someone who has relied on medical charity in the past, I am happy to offer extended payment plans and sliding scale rates. I look forward to helping you with mental health medication management and consultation (expert advice to your psychiatric prescriber), affirming assessments for letters for gender transition, and other mental healthcare needs (service animals, work and school accommodations, etc.). At this time, I do not have openings for new neuropsychiatric testing assessments (Autism/ADHD) or psychotherapy.
