Hannah Youtsler M.A.

Hi, I’m Hannah (she/her/hers), a clinical psychology doctoral student at Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Xavier University in 2017, and I am now pursuing my Psy.D. I bring several years of experience from a range of settings, including working with children and adults in private practice, youth residential treatment, community correctional care, and those in underprivileged/underserved communities. I’ve also supported clients living with chronic pain and traumatic brain injuries, as well as youth and adults affected by adverse childhood experiences, systemic oppression, and the school-to-prison pipeline.

I strive to create a therapeutic space that is radically affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion—especially for queer, neurodivergent, and system-impacted individuals. As someone with lived experience in these communities, I deeply understand the importance of being met with authenticity, respect, and care.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in reconnecting with your strengths, exploring what matters most to you, and navigating challenges with creativity and resilience. I integrate feminist, strength-based, and trauma-informed frameworks with practical tools, from cognitive-behavioral therapies and mind-body approaches.

Whether we’re working through daily life stressors, navigating identity-related experiences, or processing distressing thoughts and emotions, I aim to honor the whole person—without judgment, and at your own pace. My clinical focus centers on helping individuals navigate emotional regulation, identity exploration, trauma recovery, and everyday resilience.

In and out of session, I’m someone who values creativity and joy. I find peace in tending to my plants, crocheting, making art, spending time with animals, and building Legos. These passions often remind me of the healing power of play, expression, and connection—and I often bring that spirit into the therapeutic relationship.

If you’re looking for a space that is affirming, collaborative, and grounded in genuine care, I’d be honored to work with you.
