Hiba Dedmari M.A.

Hi everyone, my name is Hiba (she/her/hers). As a therapist and assessor, I am passionate about supporting individuals of all ages and identities in reconnecting with their inner strengths, developing new ways of thinking and coping, and letting go of patterns that no longer serve them. I view therapy as a collaborative space where we can foster acceptance, build meaning, and develop strategies that promote lasting growth and resilience. As an assessment evaluator, I am especially interested in providing comprehensive evaluations for ADHD, ASD, and more, helping my clients better understand themselves and access the support they need to thrive.

My lived experiences as a female-identifying immigrant have profoundly shaped my therapeutic lens. Growing up in an international environment and immersed in multicultural environments has instilled in me a deep appreciation for human connection and the healing power of storytelling. I ground my work in cultural humility and social justice, always seeking to understand clients within the larger systems that impact their lives. Drawing from Interpersonal, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) frameworks, I aim to create a compassionate, empowering space tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am also dedicated to lifelong learning and regularly incorporate evidence-based practices to ensure my approach remains flexible, responsive, and aligned with each client’s goals.

I hold two master’s degrees in psychology and am currently pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at Miami University of Ohio. My clinical training has spanned college counseling centers, child clinics, youth mental health centers, primary care, and community mental health settings. Across these roles, I have been privileged to work with individuals across their lifespans, and I am particularly interested in helping individuals navigate identity-related, transitional, and emotional challenges. Apart from my clinical and academic responsibilities, I often spend my time crafting, reading, thrift shopping, and hiking (when the Ohio weather is tame).

I would be honored to support you in creating the change you seek. Please feel free to reach out through the contact page. I look forward to working with you!
