AFFIRM Connection Groups

AFFIRM Groups for ages 18-24

Next session begins April 29th! Reach out to sign up or to learn more.

AFFIRM is an eight-session, curriculum based group focused on reducing depression and improving coping and sexual self-efficacy for LGBTQIAP+ young adults by providing them opportunities to learn and practice valuable coping skills, as well as empowering them to increase social connection with other queer individuals. Join us to learn and practice new mental health strategies each week in an affirming environment! Groups are led by AFFIRM certified practitioner Tosha Habig LSW (she/they).

The Affirm Project

AFFIRM seeks to integrate identity affirmation with evidence-based interventions. This combined intervention is presented in the form of eight sessions targeted at LGBTTQQ2SA* youth and adults and geared towards reducing depression and enhancing coping skills, while validating the strengths of its participants. *Note: to be inclusive and affirming to neurodivergent minds, all therapeutic interventions in this program are modified by our neurodivergent group facilitator and will be tailored to the individuals in the group.

Group Leader

AFFIRM Groups are led by Tosha Habig (she/they), our resident specialist in LGBTQIAP+ young adult care. Tosha holds a deep passion for supporting queer young adults as they look to build social support while actualizing their identities in a safe and affirming environment.
